STM AUCTION~2012

This year the theme for the St. Thomas More auction was 1920's.  It was fun putting together an outfit.  Most of us were in drop waisted, or flapper style clothing, and men in suits, and fedoras.  The Italian dinner is always Y-U-M-M-Y!  I was on a couple different committees this year, so it REALLY gave me a chance to see what goes on behind the scenes, and how much work goes into making this event happen, and to be a success.  I felt like I had a part time job working on things over the last couple of months.  I am already thinking about ways to help for next year.

It's hard getting away for the night without the kids, especially leaving Leo, we are pretty much a package deal.  I figured as long as he was well nursed he would be okay for a few hours, but I was wrong.  He has major separation anxiety right now and doesn't like being away from his mama, I didn't get to stay as long as I'd hoped this year, which was a disappointment.  I scarfed my yummy dinner down, and missed one of my favorite things, dessert.  There's always next year, and the next ;)  we have many more auctions in the future.

All in all, it was a fun night!  Most importantly, a wonderful event/cause in supporting the kids' school.
